What do the language test levels mean?

All BELT Language Tests will give you results according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the most commonly used standard worldwide.

Each level determines the level of language proficiency.

Get ready to take the test

The tests have 3 parts:

Language knowledge

This is the first section of the test, consisting of 50 questions on grammar, language, and vocabulary.

Reading comprehension

This section consists of 20 questions about texts at different levels of difficulty.

Listening comprehension

This is the last part of the test and consists of 30 questions about audio clips.

Each section of the test takes 20 minutes.

Recommendations when taking the Language Test

To make sure you get the best results, you should follow these recommendations:

Save 60 uninterrupted minutes for the test
Be in a quiet place with no distractions
Use a computer with a good Internet connection (speeds of 2Mbps or higher)
Have good earphones for the listening comprehension section
Avoid taking the test on your cell phone so that you don't have technical problems
